Business contact details, so we can communicate with prospective and existing clients.
Species records gathered during surveys, which may be submitted to Local Environmental Records Centres and, where required, to Natural England.
Who we share data with
Service providers who support our business under contract.
Subcontractors engaged for specialist survey work under written agreement.
Recording schemes and regulatory bodies (Local Environmental Records Centres, Natural England) for species records.
Insurers if needed for a claim.
Legal or regulatory bodies where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data or share it for marketing.
International transfers
Some data handled by by Google and Squarespace may be processed outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards are used.
Retention
Client engagement records: 7 years after the end of the engagement.
Financial records: 6 years.
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: up to 2 years.
Business contact details: until you ask us to remove them.
Species records: retained as part of best practice.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the use of your personal data. You can also ask for a copy in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time.
